With his first wife he had ten children and with his second there were seven. I also heard that he raised several of his son's children after his daughter-in-law was scalped by Indians. They had a huge farm house and could accommodate many - Lavone Poulos
Henry Eby married Nancy on June ll, l871 (approx. 51 years of age) died March 27, l892. (72 years of age) Buried at the Brick Cemetery (which was a school and was destroyed by fire). It is south of Holton, KS. Headstone reads "Husband of Nancy A. Eby, died 3-27, 1892, age 72 years, ? mo."
