Weaver, 89, of 3001 Lititz Pike, died Friday at Brethren Villiage following a brief illness.A graduate of Stevens High Scholl and the former Millersville Normal School (Now Millersville University), she was an elementary school teacher in Lancaster, Pa. for six years and in Manheim Township for 16 years.She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and the Creative Tuesday Group of United Methodist Women, was a Sunday School teacher for 30 years and was a former member of the Church's Personnel Committee.She was a former member of the Iris Club, volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels and enjoyed traveling, reading and needlework.She was the wife of A.S. Weaver, who died 1996.Born in Lancaster (Pa.) she was the daughter of the late Silas W. and Callie Aument Eby.She is survived by a son, Dr. Kent E. husband of Fay Weaver of Reading; a daughter, Louise, wife of Fred S. Engle, Jr. of Lancaster; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.Funeral Notice: Lucile Eby Weaver entered into rest in Lancaster, Pa., on Feb. 26, 1999. She was widow of A.S. Weaver. Memorial service from Otterbein United Methodist Church, 20 E. Clay St., Lancaster, Pa., on Sat. March 27, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Robert S. Zimmerman and the Rev. John N. Roberts officiating. Private interment in the Paradise Mennonite Cemetery, Paradise, Pa. Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.This obituary was published in Lancaster Intelligencer Journal, Tuesday March 2, 1999.
