Although It appears that my ggrandmother Anne Clarissa, not only kept in touch with her family, but did quite a bit of research herself, her children, my grandfather included, seemed to care little, if at all...Also, Anne was living with her only daughter when she died, Frances Clara. Clara's daughter Anne Mary was her only surviving child, and Mary had no children. If Anne's letters and papers did survive her moves there is no way of knowing who may have collected them. None of the Bowen's in Wisconsin I've been in touch with even had old family photos...Thank goodness my father kept some of what little he had.
    • She died at the home of her daughter Mrs F.H. Sheppardd.
