Erma Eby Christiansen, our beautiful and loving wife, momma, grandma, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 22, 1993.
Erma was born June 12, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Fred B. and Matilda Mae Pickerell Eby. She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth D. Christiansen on April 19, 1937. They were sealed in the St. George LDS Temple on June 12, 1990.
She had seven precious children who she held dearly to her heart. A talented homemaker and cook. She and her husband were the owners of the Valley Hi Motel and Cafe in Keetley, Utah, where she made all of her guests feel at home. They made their final home in Mesquite, Nevada where she will be missed by many friends.
Erma is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth; daughters, Mrs. Roy (Charlotte) Babcock, Mrs. Bob (Fredene) Hill, Kenneth, Jr., and wife, Joan; Charles and wife, Theresa; Jim and wife, Sandi; Joseph and wife, Diane; three sisters, Avis Marsh, Bettyjean Smith, Ann Sandwick, and brother, Fred Eby; 22 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Judith Elaine Christiansen Sadler, and sister, Dorothy Allen.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 27, 1993, 2 p.m., Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and Friday, one hour prior to services.
Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
