  PLEASANT GARDEN Mrs. Marion Williams Sneed, 83, formerly of Dorsey Street in Greensboro, died Oct.8, 2003, at Beacon Place- Hospice & Palliative Care. Funeral services for Mrs. Sneed will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with the Rev. Brian Gordon officiating. Interment will take place in Guilford Memorial Park. Mrs. Sneed was born in Warren County to William Calhoun and Hope Thompson Williams. After graduating high school, she attended business college in Charlotte and then moved to Greensboro where she was employed with Western Union. After 34 years of service, she retired as a senior telegraph operator. She was a charter member of First Evangelical Methodist Church. As hobbies Mrs. Sneed enjoyed gardening and all wildlife. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Sherry Sneed of Pleasant Garden and Rick and Maria Sneed of San Rafael, Calif. and daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Jere Watson of Discovery Bay, Calif. and Helen and Tom Behan of Fairbanks, Alaska. Also surviving are her sister and husband, Claudia and Courtney Sadler of Winston-Salem; seven grandchildren, Michelle Fuller, Michael, Jennifer, Brooke, Ryan, Andy and Alexis Sneed; and two great-grandchildren, Deavin and Denise Sneed.
