  Lester's car was hit by a drunk driver who ran a red light at the intersection of 54th St and Figueroa St. in Los Angeles on Jan 1, 1942. He never regained consciousness and died on Jan 3, 1942 According to Lester's death certificate, he had lived in Los Angeles for 16 years before his death. This would mean that he came to Los Angeles at the age of 13 or 14 so Ruth must have divorced Joseph and went to Los Angeles. This would have been in 1925/26. Joseph remarried in 1922. Lois told me that Ruth and her husband (Lester's stepfather) were at Lester's funeral. I need to find out her married name. Joseph told us that Lester was married twice before he married Lois and had a daughter by one of the marriages. He did not give me any names or other information. If this was true, Lester must have been a busy man as he was only 25 when he married Lois. I need to check Los Angeles county marriage records for the period 1930 - 1936
