Documents: Bible of Benjamin Eby with a fraktur by Abraham Latschaw. The fraktur was created in 1823. It is part of a two-page illumination. When the young Abraham Latschaw (1799-1879) joined the northward-bound waves of Pennsylvania German immigrants to Upper Canada in 1822, he was about to bring Waterloo County a set of extraordinary skills which would culminate in the finest fraktur and furniture to be made in this area.
