New Holland Mennonite, Lutheran, Reformed Cemetery New Holland, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

Tree: Eby/Aebi and Bernethy Family
Notes: Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church is located at 221 E Main Street, New Holland. It was founded ca 1730 and has also been called Earltown or Saeue Schwamm or Pig Meadow Lutheran Church. The first log church was built around 1733 and a stone church in 1763. In 1850 a third church was built of brick and the present brick church was built in 1971. An interesting note--in 1767 a lottery was used to pay the debt incurred in building the church and school.

The cemetery is still there--to the rear of the church. It adjoins New Holland Reformed and Mennonite Cemeteries.
