  Annona P. Shanks, 85, St. Joseph, Missouri, died Friday, September 16, 2011 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. She was born June 10, 1926 to Russell and Hazel (Shipley) Stevens in Skidmore, Missouri. Annona married Leo E. Shanks September 8, 1949. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Steven Wayne; daughter, Kathryn Ann; and brother Clarence. Survivors: two daughters, Pamela Meeks (Robert), St. Joseph and Barbara Munsell (Mark), Savannah; grandchildren, Aaron Munsell, Samantha Rife and Michael Elizabeth Gay; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Leard and Clara Brewer. Services: 3:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
