Moses Eby passed away at his home on Harlem Ave. early today. He once owned the tract that is now Highland Park. He lived at 198 Harlem Avenue.
For 25 years he was one of the most prominent farmers in that section of the county.
He died at 5 AM at his home. He had been sick for 13 weeks. He was stricken with hemorrhages. He had bowel trouble, and that was attributed as one of the causes of death.

He married Sarah Haak before coming to Illinois. She died right after they moved to Freeport.
He then married barbara Walkey of Freeport on May 22, 1884. She died about 1904.
He attended Trinity Church of Freeport, Rev. LC Schmidt.
He was survived by three of his children: William E. of Odell, Iowa; Mrs. Philip Betz of Storm Lake, Iowa; and Mrs. George Betz of Princeton, IL.
