    • Laura Deatherage GG Granddaughter of George Washington.

      In 1867, George and his wife Nancy with their children made a trip to Holden, Missouri in a covered wagon. Enroute they stopped in Boone County, Missouri to visit Thomas and Byrd Deatherage, cousins of George Washington Deatherage. Nancy and their daughter Caroline both died of the fever and are buried in Holden, Missouri. After their death George took his children back to Rio, Illinois.
