      Passed away peacefully surrounded
      by his family on Saturday, August 7,
      2010 at his home in New Hamburg.
      Dave was born 60 years ago in
      Kitchener, a son of the late Edwin
      and Elsie (Bechtel) Eby. Dave was
      known to the community as a
      businessman who owned and
      operated Dave Eby Auto Repair with
      his wife in New Hamburg and served
      as a volunteer firefighter on the
      New Hamburg Fire Department for
      a number of years. Because of his
      passion for cars, Dave was known to
      many as the "Book of Knowledge".
      He was also known as "Tractor
      Dave" because of his love for his
      W4. Dave's other interests included
      gardening, camping, morning coffees
      with his many friends at McDonalds
      and most of all spending quality
      time with his family and friends.
      Loving husband and best friend
      of Darlene (Hillock) Eby whom he
      married September 29, 2007. Devoted
      father of Jason Eby and his wife Jen
      of Melton, Australia, Annabelle
      Miranda and her husband Robbie of
      Ajax, Fortune Carpio and Alicia
      Carpio both of Pickering. Special
      papa to Xander, Jonah, Ari and
      Micah. Dear brother of Glenn Eby
      and his partner Anne Marie of
      Kempville, Edward Eby and his
      partner Diana of Brampton, Ken Eby
      and his wife Helen of Baden, Sandy
      Brubacher and her husband Mark of
      Elmira and Audrey Eby of Waterloo.
      Dear brother-in-law of Debbie and
      Arnold Douven, Bonnie and Dave
      Weskett, Ronnie and Kathy Bricker
      and Diane Seguin all of Kitchener.
      Dave will be forever remembered by
      his many nieces, nephews and their
      families, his canine friend "Prince",
      and by "Neighbour" Ben and Juliana.
      David was predeceased by his sister
      Lorene and sister-in-law Lorie. Friends
      and relatives may call at the Mark
      Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St.,
      New Hamburg on Tuesday from 2-4
      and 7-9 p.m. On Wednesday, August
      11, 2010 transfer will be made to
      Mannheim Mennonite Church, 1494
      Bleams Rd., R.R. #2, Petersburg for
      the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with
      Pastor Doris Weber officiating. As expressions
      of sympathy memorial donations
      may be made to Grand River
      Regional Cancer Centre. We, the
      family of Dave, would like to say
      Thank You to all the Paramed nurses
      especially Judy Stuart for their
      outstanding care and compassion
      shown to Dave and our family. We
      would also like to say Thank You to
      "Motivated Mommies" for all the
      home cooked meals you have so
      graciously prepared for our family.
