    • Charles Palmer, his wife and daughter along with Phoebe Goodsons brother William and his family were part of the wagon train that came to the Puget Sound area and the first sight of them was the sight of the white covers of their prairie schooners as they hove in sight off Point Axtell's about a mile away from where Phoebe was standing. This was on the 8th of October in 1854.
