  JEFFERSON, S.C. - Mrs. Connie Elizabeth Abernathy Fitch, 79, died Saturday, April 18, 2009. FUNERAL SERVICE: Noon, Monday, April 20, 2009, at Bethel Baptist Church. INTERMENT: 4 p.m., Monday at Woodside Cemetery in Clover, S.C. VISITATION: 11 a.m. ? noon prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Fitch was born Oct. 26, 1929, in China Grove, N.C., a daughter of the late Fred and Annie Hodge Abernathy. She was a homemaker and a mem-ber of Bethel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by a grandchild, Brandon Jenkins; and by two brothers, Reece and Junior Abernathy. SURVIVORS: Husband of 62 years, Charles Junior Fitch of the home one daughter, Diane Fitch (Larry) Guy of Gastonia, NC; two grandchildren, Brent (Sherri) Jenkins of Clover, S.C., and Jason Guy of Gastonia, N.C.; one great-grandchild, Aidan Guy of Mount Holly, N.C., two sisters, Margaret Suggs of Gastonia, N.C. and Lucille Kirkland of Clover, S.C.
