- Andrew Berg, a resident of Melville and Big Timber since 1881, died at his home on the east side of this city Saturday night, aged 69 years and 7 days, of senile gangrene of the feet.
Funeral service was held at the Lutheran church Tuesday afternoon by Rev. A. A. Holbeck, interment being in Mountain View. Pallbearers were J. S. Solberg, B. S. Lavold, Erik Neste, F. A. Webb, Isaac Rostad and H. J. Sandsness.
Deceased was born in Trondhjem, Norway, and came to America in 1879, residing first in Michigan. In 1881 he located at Melville, where he was married shortly afterwards to Anna Hoyem.
He leaves a wife, one son, and five daughters to mourn his loss, as follows: Mrs. Anna Berg, Mrs. Martin Ostenson and Arthur Berg of this city; Mrs. Knute Lavold, Melville; Mrs. Will King, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. George Washborn, Chicago; Mrs. Clean Booth, Dalles, Ore. A daughter-in-law, Mrs. Alfred Berg, and two sons, Alvin and Arthur, of Absarokee, were here for the funeral.

(I am not sure who they are referring to as Mrs Will KING of California. I have verified all the daughters except Edna who did die in California in 1943. Being born in 1901 she very well could have been married to a Will King when her father died in 1926 and then married Elmer ALLSTOT if Will had passed or they divorced. I have not been able to find her in any California death records. Will keep looking. She is not in the cemetery with Elmer, at least not by her maiden name, KING or ALLSTOT.)
