    • Lucille "Pat" Eby, 87, formerly of Bethlehem, Pa., passed away Nov. 24, 2004, in St. Augustine. She was the wife of the late Palmer H. Eby, who died in 1992. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Martha J. (DeLaRue) Hawthorne. She was a graduate of John Harris High School, Harrisburg, and a 1938 graduate of Lebaron Valley College. She was an elementary substitute teacher in the Bethlehem area school district for six years until 1986.

      Pat was a member of Edgeboro Moravian Church, Bethlehem and served the Lore as an Elder and a devoted member of the prayer group in the church. She was a volunteer for seven years for Historic Bethlehem Inc., a member of the AAUW and a member of the Bethlehem Garden Club.

      Survivors include sons, Palmer H. "Skip" II, and his wife, Barbara, of Davenport, the Rev. Craig W. and his wife, Mary Lou, of St. Augustine; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pat was predeceased by a son, Jack F. in 1995.

      Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, in the Edgeboro Moravian Church, 645 Hamilton Avenue, Bethlehem. There are no calling hours. Arrangements by Long Funeral Home. Memorials to Edgeboro Moravian Church Building Fund, 645 Hamilton Avenue, Bethlehem, Pa. 18017.
