You recently sent me an email asking I add Henry Bear and wife Barbara Good to their daughters link, Veronica Baehr (Bear) in the Monterey Chapel Cemetery in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I can do that, not a problem at all but do you know any more about them? Where might they be buried? DOB and DOD dates? If not, that's fine but I would like to have all I can.

    Thanks!

Glad to help any way I can. I've found there are lots of Bears in the woods!
Let me say first my information mostly came from a publication of the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society called Pennsylvania Mennonite Heritage. This particular info is from the Oct. 1998 issue "Bear Update" Part 2 by Jane Evans Best. This is a great source for Bear info. Here's what I know:

Henry Bear was b 22 Dec 1715; died about Jan 1771. He made a will in Leacock Twp., Lancaster Co., PA which was proved & inventory taken 26 Jan 1771. His father was Jagely Bar (bapt. 30 Dec 1883, died aft 1740).

Barbara Good was born abt 1725 and died abt Oct 1812. Her will was proved 14 Oct 1812 Leacock Twp, Lancaster Co., PA.

I would think they were buried around Leacock Twp., Lancaster Co. - but no idea where. They had 10 known children including Veronica. I note a couple of them are buried at Kurtz Cemetery & another at Bard Cemetery both in Upper Leacock Twp. - parents might be in any of the three.
    Hope this helps.
